Weston-super-Mare.... watch

    • Thread Starter

is one of the friendliest places I've ever been! Contrary to what is perceived.

I passed my practical on Thursday and decided to take a rather long drive out yesterday and before I knew it from getting on the M5 I ended up in WsM.

And what a trip it became. We ended up getting lost several times (bloody sat-nav ) and whether we were in Worle or the backstreets - everyone gave us detailed directions and were so welcoming! (Literally some offered to get in their cars and drive to the location so we could follow).

Then, at like ~1:30am, the car broke down in Tesco car park (the one off the highstreet past Farmfoods etc) and rather bizarrely a group of drunken lads appear and get the car going (while we stood amazed) and then went happily on their way.

So I was wondering, those that are from WsM or surrounding areas, are people really that nice all the time? :gasp:

Somewhat yeah, it does have its bad areas though...which seem to spill out into the centre if you're around after 8pm or so!

I find it to be a dive, though I suppose thats a lot of little seaside towns for you. I imagine its quite nice for a day out if your not local!
