    Hi!
My interview lasted approximately 20 minutes. It was comprised by Dr Kevin Coward, Associate Professor Christian Becker & Ms Pip Elphick. They were very friendly. In the beginning they asked me mostly about myself, what I have done so far, if I have any lab experience, and if I would like to investigate a topic, what that would be and why. Then they asked me about the legislation of IVF in my country and indications of IVF. Finally they asked me to describe the curriculum, asked me why I applied, how I heard about the programme, and if I have any questions. They replied to me one month afterwards.

Thanks for taking out the time to write back Tonia!
So you've been accepted for the 2017-18 batch?

    I wish the same!
Got done with my interview on Friday. They actually asked a lot of questions about IVF, drugs, reproductive pathophysiology, semen analysis, etc. Quite an intense interview, (felt more like a viva, tbh) but they were really nice through out

Still waiting to hear from them though. Honestly, the wait is killing me!

Thanks for your quick response tanaya_nar. My interview went well, I believe. I guess, some questions I may have are:
    1. How do you like the masters so far, workload, environment, co-students, and lecturers?
    2. I am an M.D. interested in doing a residency in OBGYN after this masters. Do you relate or know anyone in your class currently who has a similar career path?
    3. As far as funding and scholarships go, is it common for masters students in Clinical Embryology to get scholarships or college funding?

Thanks so much for your time and response. Glad to hear from you.

Hey, apologies for the late response.

-The course has been pretty intense. It was a bit overwhelming, the amount of molecular biology, genetics, and epigenetics I had to study in such a short amount of time. I am also a medical doctor, like you, and all this was either new information, or stuff I had forgotten. There was a lot I learnt in that term, especially in terms of scientific writing and lab skills.
They've tried to make the environment as relaxed as possible. Oxford is amazing, and is an experience in itself. I consider myself very very lucky to study here, and I'd urge you to come here if possible. Kevin and the team will help you and push you, and are a jovial bunch. The lecturers, especially the clinicians, are very well accomplished and teach brilliantly. A lot of scientists come in and present to your their research, which is pretty interesting.

    - I have four doctors in my class (including me). One is an Obgyn who has decided to give up clinical practice and wants to be a fulltime embryologist. One is doing this course to get into academia. Another is a medical doctor who wants to specialise in either neonatology or MFM, and is using this as a bridge. As for myself, I don't know yet.

    - Scholarships are rather hard to come by. Nobody on my course (of 16) has a scholarship.

Feel free to ask any more questions if you have them! Good luck!
