I still haven't applied yet... and my application is going to be more complicated (dropped out in my first year last year and my partners details aren't "normal" lol)...

I've decided I'm not sending my passport.

Who would have thought it could have been worse than last year!

My Dad sent off the appropriate evidence for his part in mid-April. It hasn't even been processed yet -- undoubtedly stuck in their backlog of forms. It's absolutely ludicrous. I sent off my application for DSA on Wednesday; I can only hope that doesn't take as long since that requires like 6 weeks after they initially process it. It's kinda worrying how shoddy the service really is!

My mum sent my evidence off in April and I got it back 6 weeks later within their allotted time. Just waiting on them switching my uni over now that's taken longer than the evidence  cos they have to put it at the bottom of the pile cos people who haven't yet been issued finance are of greater priority. Which yes is fair enough but the fact is, is that mine will take like 2 seconds to change over. Evidence takes much longer.

Argh, after reading soe stuff on here I feel like I've done something wrong. I got sent a final assessment thing and it was all wrong: I wanted income assessed and it said on the form that I had non income assessed. The maintenance loan and tuition fee loans were there though. With it came a declaration form which i had to sign and send back, but I decided not to since the final assessment sheet was wrong. After phoning them up and telling them about this, the woman told me to send in the declaration form anyway because it only means you agree to the terms and conditions and not to the info on the final asessment sheet. Was she right? Because I've sent it off but am now worried that I am only going to get what was on that sheet, even though my parents have sent off the forms.

by the way, for any one concerned that they don't have their evidence of ID back:

i sent off JUST my birth certificate and the confirmation document a week after a level exams ended (end of juneish) and i received them back today (28th july) with a 'with compliments' slip from student finance. i didn't send off proof of my parent's income, however, so it will probably be different for you.

good luck for any one waiting for news on their SF! x
