    I'll be watching both hopefully.

As an aside, on your profile it says you want a job in F1... I'm going to be testing some samples of F1 fuel, and on my work experience I helped to drum Ferrari's fuel.

    /irrelevance
Yeah a job in F1 is my dream, but dunno if I am going to be able to get into it especially considering the downsizing of the teams that is going to occur in the next few years.

You chaps can give me some feedback afterwards here...

Well good luck with it, and your University Challenge broadcast.

Edit: I'll give you some feedback, yes.

Fair enough, the NASA homepage said 2 1/2. Looks like it is 1 1/2.

That's because the official countdown clock (which you may remember got stuck at 9 minutes last night) is paused at some point whereas the actual time until lift off is different.

The two countdowns are here and here.

    Explanation here

EDIT: That's why we have 9 minutes and counting or 9 minutes and holding.

You would have missed it last night if it weren't for the weather

Sign up on the box on the right. Although I guess you will get emails from everything else NASA does.

Or just going on the BBC News website/Wikipedia will also prompt you.

That's the next mission - set for August 18 (but it probably will be delayed).

I hope the shuttle actually launches tonight, I've been getting impatient :p: I missed one by a few days when I was in Florida a few years ago, which was pretty annoying. And there's not one scheduled for when I'm there this year Unless Discovery gets delayed, which is fairly likely giving the state of the weather these days...

    Ah, I see.

So the launch goes through several stages and holds at specific points (e.g at the moment it's at T-20, and that lasts for about 10 minutes).
