I'm thinking of teaching this to myself, over the holidays instead of resitting d1 which i got a really bad grade in, and i hated.

    How hard will it be??

Pretty easy, I got 79/100 in January, had no lessons on it at all, and got the book a week before the exam. Aiming for 100/100 from my resit I did in June :p: .

    Good luck with it!

And if it makes any difference, I got 80/100 for D1 in January as well, after it had been taught inside out from september .

I got 93/100 in this (the highest by far of my maths module grades) and I really found that doing past papers really helped. Just try and do all that you can lay your hands on and you should be fine

I taught myself S1 (on AQA) a couple of weeks ago. It's easy if you're committed, just boriiiing.

It's easy .... but then so is D1

It's rather easy to do actually, yes. Just get a decent stats revision guide or textbook if you like and blitz it for a few days. Just remember to hammer the past papers and go through the specification to make sure you've covered everything.

D1 was really easy, I found to learn. S1 required a few lessons but it wasnt that difficult either.

    Not a decision i'd go for .
I think S1 needs few lessons

it depends on the person obviously but i found stats quite hard even though in all core modules i learnt almost nothing from lesson all was on my own. with stats it won't be like any maths you've done before, it's different concepts and stuff that i would have struggled to get to grips with had i not had someone to assist me.

having said this it is possible although if you struggled with decision rather than learning a whole new module just concentrate on that and make sure you get it right next time. good luck
