As the summer months come around, I always seem to find myself listening to more music from the 60's than ever before. There's a great nostalgic quality listening to stuff that was played by my parents when I was younger. So what are your favourite 60's songs? Choices by less obvious bands would be nice as I'm sure there's some classics out there that haven't come up on my radar!

Current songs I can't stop listening to:
Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs - Stay (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9hSgs0ITI0)
The Kingsmen - Louie Louie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WcgqXMncf4)
    The Zombies - She's Not There (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5IRI4oHKNU)
The Ronettes - Be My Baby

Someone posted this song in another topic. It was released in 1967 but this performance is in 1970.

You should get the album Presenting the Fabulous Ronnettes, really good.

    60s Albums

Aretha Franklin's I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You
    The Beatle's Rubber Soul
    Etta James' At Last!

    60s Singles

Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna Come
The Shirelles' Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow

I'm sure there's loads more great stuff, but this is what comes straight to mind.

Anything by the Small Faces. Don't think they ever made a poor song.

    My particular favourites are:

    All Or Nothing
    Afterglow (Of Your Love)
    Tin Soldier
    Itchycoo Park
    Lazy Sunday
    Sha-La-La-La-Lee
    Hey Girl

    Ten random 60s songs which everybody loves, from ten different acts (in no order);

Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan.
Green River - Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Paint It, Black - The Rolling Stones.
I Feel Fine - The Beatles.
A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procol Harum.
    Sunny Afternoon - The Kinks.
Don't Worry Baby - The Beach Boys.
    Wichita Lineman - Glen Campbell.
I Want You Back - The Jackson 5.
I Got You Babe - Sonny and Cher.

Doesn't get much better than that.
