I hate dancing in nightclubs because I feel embarassed dancing without a routine, so I decided to take dancing lessons to try to build up my confidence, but I'm not sure which type of dance I should try. I was thinking of freestyle dancing, but i also want to learn to controll my hip movements; i'm not sure freestyle dancing would be appropriate? I also considered Modern Jazz, but I'm not sure it's ideal, as it requires much more space than you would have available in a nightclub. I want a style of dance that resembles nightclub dancing as much as possible. Any suggestions? A short description of some different styles would be helpful too.

    Help?
