I was at a house party with people I don't know and some guy took off with my shoes in the middle of the night. I went home in the shoes of the guy whose house it was and I still have them. I have added both of them on facebook and at first guy 1 said he would return the shoes to guy 2's house but after that there were no more replies from either of them. I wouldn't mind but they are £60 shoes. Any advice on how I can get them back?

I stole someone's shoes at a camping party by accident. I was still pissed in the morning, and convinced that they were mine. It was only after a very long train journey home that I realised they weren't mine. Whoops.

So you know who took the shoes right? Ask them for them back?

I only have him on facebook and he isn't replying to my messages. I am going to send an e-mail now but it doesn't look like I am going to get them back

Yeah i have. The thing that puzzles me is why did he accept me as a friend and send me a message at first if he wasn't going to give them back. I guess he just changed his mind.

Haha. This happened to me once, but I only lost one shoe. I got it back like, 3 months later.

I'm not just copying Cinderella's story, btw.

I also thought you were a girl when I first read this

Well, technically, it's stealing so just demand for them back?

    Yeah the old shoe scam.
Party round mine! But don't forget to take your shoes off on the way in.
As soon as you look the other way, bam they collect the shoes and sell them.

    Oldest trick in the book.
