    I'm going to get my blood sample taken for the Anthony Nolan Trust today.
    People keep saying about the pain but you just deal with it.
    If they have to do the more invasive procedure you're asleep and then you just have painkillers after.
    If it's the filtration procedure then it shouldn't hurt more than an injection.

    Bit concerned about taking an envelope to the post office with a big label saying medical specimin on it!

    i sent my stuff off to anthony nolan about 3/4 weeks ago. are we meant to get a confirmation of it?

    I believe so.

    I don't know what my blood type is so it will be good if they can tell me.

    I had a nurse take my blood and compared to the last time I had it done by a doctor, it was a much more enjoyable experience. I guess they get more practice at it.

    Just had an email from the Anthony Nolan Trust stating that they will contact me on 8-10 weeks to let me know I'm on the register, so that answers the time question.
