Clueless about student finance for uni watch

    Hi I am starting uni this year in september, and have still got to apply for finance. I haven't applied yet because of exams firstly then some unexpected problems cropped up so I really did not get any time to apply, I'm getting very worried now because I feel so late. I've tried reading the direct gov website, but I'm just really confused. Can someone please help me out? I only want to apply for a tuition fee loan and a maintenance loan, nothing else. Are either of these means tested? What exactly do I fill in? I tried doing it online, but I couldn't see any place where to choose what I want to apply for, I feel clueless :confused: . Please could you just tell me what form I need to fill in? Sorry for such a stupid question.

    did you login to the service? register and login, then be prepared to answer lots of questions. After a few screens theyll ask you if you want to take your household income into account, so say 'no'.

    if youve got a passport, put in the passport number online to prove who you are, and you shouldnt need to send in evidence.

    You can get both tuition fee loan and maintenance loan without being means tested.
