Maybe there are less papers to mark? :dontknow: We A level students are impatient and they like to keep us waiting?

Hear hear!
They sat their exams earlier than us IIRC.

With the IB wouldn't there be more papers to mark?

I think it might be a train thing. Abroad trains move much faster.
Reply 5
They take their exams earlier, and its a much less widely taken examination than A-levels. Just be patient.
Reply 6
we finished exams 22nd may.

ofc we get it earlier. DUH.
Reply 7
We took our exams earlier. Of course we get results earlier.
Some AS students had finished their exams by 28th May too, tbf.

There are worse injustices. Get over it.

I'm sorry, but this is stupid... it's completely fair, we have to deal with a lot of crap, so we needsomething to attract us to the course in the first place! Lol

Plus exams are taken earlier and only 600or so schools in the UK do it compared to however many A levelones.
I guess it's only a month and a half for the A level people  More for AS, but still...
Oh boo-*******-hoo. A-level guys lave LONGER to learn and revise, so it's LONGER before the results come out.

Stop winging. You lot have every advantage - you can do retakes; you only have to do a couple of subjects; your qualification is a doss. Live with the one upshot of A-levels.

Didn't they get them like a week ago?

Its unfair as A level students have to wait a extra month. How long does it take to mark exam papers? Its not that hard. All you have to do is look at the anwser sheet.

I just don't undestand why IB students get it before. Do they mark papers quicker abroad or something?

Not quite that easy for things like English etc. maths probably doesnt take long, but some things will probably take much longer.

All AS level students finished by 2nd June, most that I know by 28th. Last proper A levels were like the 17th/18/19thish. That means the AS students finished a week after you and then have to wait 2 months and 20 days, and A2 students have to wait 2 months. That's still longer than you.

I mean, I don't really care that you get yours earlier, because it's international and so doesn't really come under the same umbrella, and it's definitely not "unfair", but I don't think "we finished earlier" is a valid rebuttal of the OPs post.

hmm perhaps.
but i guess then the examiners are more efficient in the IB. or they employ more examiners :dontknow:

also i think some unis abroad start really soon, so some IB kids need it that early.
