    What are you all doing?

It took me about 4 months but I may have finally settled on discussing the idea of detachment in The Stranger - Albert Camus and The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath. (I know, I know.. I desperately wanted to avoid doing the bell jar but it somehow always came back to that...)

I did a comparison of EM Forster's ''Howards End'' and Osborne's ''Look Back in Anger''. It was great, I especially enjoyed ''Howards End'' however we weren't lucky enough to choose our texts

For anyone still deciding I'd recommend the ones I did :yep:

I've chosen to do Kite Runner and The Mill on the Floss, looking at the changing relationships between the sublings.

I didn't get to choose which books, but I chose to compare the treatment of sexuality in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and The Handmaid's Tale.

I did the Bell Jar too! My comparison was with Wuthering Heights and I looked at the themes of fear and repression (particularly in relation to women).

I absolutely loved this coursework! Hope yours goes well.

Am doing the importance of social position in the Merchant of Venice, Chaucer's General Prologue, and Austen's Persuasion.
Am so pleased we got to choose our own texts and themes. (Only limit was one had to be a Shakespeare)
