the domain name for Google, and someone bought it; what would happen?

The renewal date is on the 14-Feb-2011 and they probably won't forget to renew it but if someone bought it up would they get millions from Google to buy it back?

But if you don't renew it then it would just go back to being "unowned" so anyone could buy it (Hypothetically, I just assume a lot of stuff here) for something like $60 per year? Well that's what you get with a normal website....

As well as what vas876 said, the domain will be parked for MONTHS at a high retail price (we're talking $100mil+) so that google can renew it.
So many domains 'expire', and yet months later, no-one can buy them - basically to do with copyrights etc etc

    :mmm:

Interestingly, http://ogogle.com does not redirect - it's a mirror or Google.
