A lot of lesbians will have tried a **** once I think, so I guess their opinions are valid.

technically, lesbians who have never had sex with a man are virgins. There is also no mininum age of consent for lesbians. (I argue about this all the time as people insist that it is 16 but as far as I know there isn't one any way)

However, to go into man bashing territory for a moment, why must sex involve a winkie to count as real sex? I'm a lesbian but i definitely don't think of myself as just innocently playing around until a big winkie comes along to show me a "real" good time.
But if you use a dildo/strap-on/whatever and your hymen breaks then you are no longer a virgin.

..... this was the whole point of the question. S/he was asking when it does count as "losing your V", if you can't apply the same rules about anal/vaginal penetration.

Are all lesbians virgins unless they've slept with a man?

they are virgins in that technical sense..tho if they are getting out massive strapons and stuff then Im not sure it matters

If it's all about the hymen, then would using tampons count as losing your virginity?

Also, I think that if you're at the stage where you're using sex toys, you're a little too sexually experienced to be classed as a virgin regardless of whether the hymen's broken or not.

Bit of a paradox rly. Hetero friends of mine indulge in anal sex with their gf's before losing their virginities, they don't think anal counts as 'sex'.

Furthermore, figures show that members of the Christian abstinence group 'the Silver Ring Thing' infact have anal sex as youngsters before getting married and having what they consider as 'sex' for the first time.
    Lucky *****.

"Sorry love, due to my Christian views I am unable to penetrate your vagina. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to **** you in the ass  "

Keep in mind, there is nothing "technical" or "medical" about virginity. Virginity is a social construct.

when you've been anally probed by a man phallus, you have lost your gay virginity. you can now officially call yourself a fudge packer.

Makes you wonder though, why is it that we have to consider penetration being involved when it comes to losing virginity?

I can't actually think of a reason why, although I could be missing something supermegawtfobvious

Definitions of sex vary from person to person. A straight girl might have anal sex and consider herself not a virgin even if she hasn't had actual intercourse (which would be a bit weird but you get my drift).
    It happened at our school!

Please do not laugh I am bein serious!

I really do not know how a gay man or a lesbian will know if they have lost they virginity.

Cos think about is penetrating a man loosing your virginity or being penetrated loosing it? So supposing there were two gay virgin men having sex and one was being penetrated and they didnt get the chance to return the favour...who truely lost their virginity????

Lesbians just bloody confuse me...what do they have to do?!?!

I am sorry the answers to these questions are not obvious to me, I'm just curious :o:
Jeez, you cannot be that naive can you.

Both men will have lost their virginity because both will have performed sexual intercourse.

As for the females if they consider themselves as having sex then they have had sex.

Sex is a two way thing you cannot have sex with someone without the other also having sex.

People seem to ask this alot, there must but an official deffinition of it =/.
I reakon you can have sex without loosing you're virginity, so loosing it comes form penatration or penertrating something real (not a dilda/fleshlight) but lesbians still have sex... its just not called losing your virginity.
But there's different virginities like anal virginity...etc
Thats probably just being too picky though

    "you call that sex?"

I dunno, there are times one might argue that what they just experienced didn't pass as sex.
