Ok so recently on E4 theres been that advert with the song 'Blowin' in the Wind' in the background, something about energy - however it reminded me of when I used to sing it as a whole school back in primary... Thus the thought for this thread came and I was just curious as to what everyone's childhood favourite things were... like television shows, hymns at school... that sort of thing.

    Go!

Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street :yep:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... I had a Donatello one that squirted water.
    Disney Films :ninja:
Star Trek, I used to watch a LOT of Star Trek when I was around 5 and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and a lot more shows. Lol, seems I loved tv as a kid.
Trips to the supermarket to get sweets. Generally, just sweet things.
Tin Tin comics and Asterix and Obelix. Those Archies comics, Spider Man and such.
    Those tamagotchi (sp?) things.
I remember every kid I knew learnt the lyrics to that Titanic song... That was fun, making kids cry by telling them Jack was dead.

I HATED reading those 'run, spot, run' books with a passion. Prefered Asterisk and Obelix. And science books

    I was an odd child.

So many, but what I was telling people today...

    FAVOURITE BIRTHDAY :

I have had lots of lovely presents but I remember how thrilled I was when I was younger and my 'mummy and daddy' took me to Toys R' Us and let me spend £100 on barbie!

I walked out with lots of dolls.. and clothes .. and cars and you name it.. I can still remember my excitement!

How thoughtful of my parents to give me a present like that

I miss Sabrina the teenage witch and Saved by the bell, all the old classics that aren't shown on TV any more.

And of course, the all-mighty that is..Byker Grove.
