I know this is a bit early in advance, seeing as i'm only 16.. But this time next year i hope to be driving, and lately i've been more interested in cars than ever!

Was just wondering; do any of you know of an amazing modified car?
I know the clio's do up nicely, and the astras and corsa's, especially the new shapes, really nice.

I'm hoping to get a sport; i was thinking about getting my first car from a side road, or eBay My cousin got her first car from ebay 3 years ago and is still driving it now, a blue clio.

I'm not sure if eBay can be trusted though, unless i buy it from my area.

Can someone give me some ideas of a good first car?
    All ideas are welcome!

    My MGB GT V8 project.

Seriously... I need sponsors! Don't care if it's £10 for oil or 3 grand for a new gearbox.
I'll even have your name or your businesses name signwritten on the car for when I take her racing.

    None. :P

If you're gonna spend money doing up a car, don't. Buy a better car instead.

Edit: I take it you meant like... body kits etc.?

You see totally chavved up cars sometimes which give you such a negative opinion on the driver, and i'm going to avoid that

I think I should actually post something helpful (unlike my last comments) and say, Go for a fiesta, 1996 models onwards. Good little cars.

I'm buying an e36 M3. DTM lip, diffuser, BBS's and tail lights would be the only visual mods I do. Then I'd spend thousands on the engine, suspension and drivetrain.

That's not quite how it works...

I'm happy to let anyone that sponsors the car for next season pit crew at an event with me, though.

golf, although it will almost inevitably get ruined.

(is it really that difficult to modify one tastefully?)

either way, you're best off buying it with a bit of extra plastic glued on by the manufacture than doing it yourself, the insurance would be mad.
