Just an inquiry about term dates.
Im just wondering when abouts the academic year will start and finish.
More specifically, when do you usually leave to go on study leave at the end of the year. Then after that when do you actually complete the year.
Im really looking at going to Kingston to study Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics BSc(Hons), so any advice on that too.

It varies depending on the university and study leave depends on when your exams are (some universities still provide sessions up until exams). Some start September, some October and the year usually ends May/June time.

I don't know about Kingston but my term starts at the beginning of October (freshers' is the week before that) and officially finishes mid june although really it just finishes when your last exam is.
We have a couple of weeks back after Easter when lectures still take place, then maybe a week free before exams start. Bbut depending when your exams fall you might have quite a few weeks of 'study leave'.
Generally though we don't have 'study leave' in the same sense as school, you're expected to start whenever you feel you need to, even during term time.
