It's reagarded as an inferior subject by most places. Normal biology will go into huge amounts of detail over lots of topics that you proably haven't considered yet, but these won't appear in some of the human biology. It'll also limit your choice at university - unless your course is a BSc in human bioogy, most places that say that they want biology mean normal biology.

What are your other choices for AS/ uni (if you're thinking that far ahead) - I might be able to give you some advice?

Human biology may / may not be considered inferior than biology, depending on the university you're applying to.

I'll tell you what though, you won't be able to understand biology properly at all (if you're interested and want to) by just studying human biology along - you need to take the science from the grass roots upwards to truly 'get' it and relate to how living organisms behave and why.

It's a lot more worthwhile and fulfilling to study proper biology IMO.

Yeah it is, some Universities don't mind but some don't prefer it while all Universities would prefer normal Biology.

Im no expert, but from the replies above it sounds safe to just go for regularly biology as that seems to cover everything. I don't think human biology is ever considered superior; it's either inferior or equal by the sounds of it.

wtf? human biology is 75% the same course as normal biology
