Whether you wobble when poked or not?

There is a difference. For example, most rugby players are big, but most of them aren't fat with it.

I see big in a woman as someone stocky, thick, perhaps "bigger boned".

...& Fat as someone squishy, blubbery, huggable, pokeable in such a way that if they lost weight they could be traditionally slim unlike big who'd always look hench.

I'm probably looking at it the wrong way, but if a bloke is large, but can still play sports and is reasonably fit, then I'd call him big.

But if someone was the same size but lazy and very unfit, then I'd be more tempted to call them fat.

So in my opinion, I'd say the difference is whether they let it slow them down or not.

    Easier to manipulate them :awesome:

No, they're not really the same. Beyonce is big, but not fat. That's muscle. Some girls have an awesome shape, but are just inflated. Most big girls are fat though. I hate fat chicks.

yes there's a difference....not every girl can/will ever be a size 8 (or whatever) but that doesn't necessarily make them all fat - could be really quite slim but have a larger frame.

Apart from that, I think "big" is subjective, whereas "fat" is an objective physical condition which ought to be cured... I'd say it's synonymous to "overweight".

    Is there a difference?

    I guess not

big people usually look like theyre natually heavier, often fairly tall so the weight is better suited.

if you're short and overweight you look fat.
