I think my computer is dying. :emo:

I've been thinking about purchasing a laptop for quite some time - now seems like a good time to be honest. Any recommendations?

I'm not a fan of macs personally, and I think you'd have to try hard to get a virus on windows :p: I mean, unless you visit dodgy sites :p:

For uni, ideally, I'd get a nice and small netbook.

    They're expensive though :erm:

If you're looking at laptops or pcs I've always found dell good :p: Might be worth looking at before you decide what to get :yep:

hmm speaking about people being scared this time of year I don't recall being that worried last year

Maybe because I had no offer to meet at the time...

Then again maybe I've subconsciously blocked it out so I can't remember what terrified state I was in the night before :p:

I know how you feel. The prospect of results day in two weeks time after tomorrow haunts me.

Whilst it is out of our hands, I still reserve my right to worry and moan in the mean time.

Our statement of result slips have probably been printed out by now. :ninja:

I know! Its actually a scary thought. The unis will have our results in under 2 weeks and all they'll have to do is finalise our offers (provided we've actually met them) :yikes:

I wish I'd read the bloody questions properly because I fear its those few marks that could cost me my place.

No point worrying about it now. Although I do feel your panic I had the same, I actually emailed my uni the week before asking in advance if I could transfer to the biology faculty.:woo:

I see, well, no point trying to fix it unless the computer is actually worth anything, because fixing it tends to cost loads. Lazy buggers deliberately take longer than they need to in order to fix it... and really, all they do, like anyone does, is go through trial and error.

Do you play games or anything on your computer/laptop?? What I find is that most people pay loads for a new laptop for uni with very high specs, when in fact they don't need that high specs and the price just falls rapidly through the year.
