Yup, I mean, it's exciting isn't it? Going to medical school and all that :p: The first step in a life choice, hopefully.

I'm not really worried myself and I'm very lucky to be able to say that I'd be extremely surprised if I somehow missed my offer. I'll have my fingers crossed for everyone else getting results though

What surprises me is how Iso can't say the same :p:

I was always under the impression that AHs were needed for subjects like medicine and law... :p: Still, it seems you still get unconditionals based on highers :p:

You must be excited anyway, with university not that far away now?

To be honest, one of my first posts on here was clarifying that matter. I thought you would need at least ABB or something.

I know. I'm actually filling in the gaps of my summer by slowly doing everything I need for uni.

Still, you're pretty much guaranteed a place aren't you? Unless you blacked out during your exam without noticing.... :p:

I'm not sure many people can ever say the same. I certainly don't know anyone who was that confident and certain they'd get the grades last year for any offer.
But I do admire your confidence very lucky indeed!!

Ah I see, have you sorted out your SAAS stuff yet? My friend's just had to pick his options because apparently you don't specialise in your subject until very late into your course in Scotland :p: Still, must feel great to have an unconditional

Are you ready for uni and living away from home etc...? I'm quite excited really and I don't think it has quite sunk in yet :p:

As for results, I'm quite interested to see what I got in the exams and the AEAs I sat for fun... though I'm going to be on a boat for results day, so will hopefully ring in and find out :p: I'm more interested to find out where everyone else in my year is going though

I don't want to jinx anything. I'm quite superstitious about these things. I am ******** myself about results day though.

I just saw The Taking of Pelham 123. It was pretty good; very predictable though. I really want to see The Final Destination in 3D.

Yea, I wouldn't be that confident if I hadn't already sat most exams before the summer. I only had 4 exams in the summer, for my 4 subjects - so 1 module per subject. I already had an A in maths and biology then, and needed Us in the other two :p:

Still, I had a really stressful January this year. I had something ridiculous like 14 exams - crit thinking and general studies alongside my 4 main subjects, where I sat 1-2 modules each. I guess it's all about how your school sorts out your exam timetable - people like Iso have it unlucky in that they have a stressful June but a relaxing January. Mine's the other way around, but it was good going into June exams knowing I didn't really need much :p:

I saw that film a few days ago in London. Travolta can't act any other type of role to be honest, but he was good in this film anyway. Great action all the way through.

As for results, seriously, good luck man! You've come this far already, I'm sure you'll make it

I agree, it was really intense throughout. :headfire:

Fingers crossed indeed. I just want to get it over and done with now. It feels like such a burden. I hope I can enjoy what's left of the summer and the whole of September once results day is out of the way. I haven't even thought about my 18th birthday. :woo:

Unfortunately TSR has to make money...

I should make a thread to see who else wants them gone. I reckon I'd get everyone's support.

When are you 18 Mena? :teeth:

I'd just stop thinking about it really, as it's outside of your control, but I know how hard it can be to do that. Just keep yourself occupied all the time and have lots of things to do. Maybe start reading a book or something, I dunno :p:

Yeah all that's done.... I think. They've still to send me confirmation.

Yeah, especially with the sciences. But you can go into first year as English Lit, but maybe go into second year heading for a Philosphy degree, depending on what modules you choose.

Yeah I am. I'm actually kinda wishing Edinburgh was further away, since I'm only half an hour away - it's hindering my independence. (Doesn't help that my parents work in the city... )

I get what you mean about other people in your year. I tried to get some info on how the year below to see if the medic hopefuls got the grades.... no news yet. :ninja:

Is it just me or is Travolta meant to be hispanic in the film?

Furthermore, in the posters he looked as black as Denzel. Very odd.

I suppose they are useful for unfortunate Scottish studetns (i.e the ones that missed their offers)
