What are people's opinions on the US's criticism of the NHS?

Sarah Palin continues to emit so much stupid that my eyes water and I need oxygen just to breathe. 'Death panels'? If only some Americans realised it's no longer the Cold War, then they might begin to understand that healthcare reform is desperately required; 50 million American's with no insurance isn't conducive with the notion of American's opinions that its the "greatest nation in the world". Although I'm afraid Obama has an uphill battle, as one oxygen thief on the news put it, "I don't want the US to become Russia". They never fail to deliver..:shot:

I'm getting paid too. Doubtful it will last the weekend, however.

Big plans?

So how's everyone feeling about Thursday?

I'm on my second myocardial infarction and am facing the prospect of imminent doom and death. :h:

Im absolutely bricking it. There's a real possibility i've missed my offer becuase of chemistry and i have a feeling that if i have missed it, it will only be by a couple of ums marks. Part of me is also glad because i can finally stop counting up the marks i need and stop worrying. Overall im pretty stressed though, and it doesn't help that i was diagnosed with diabetes last week. I just really hope God is looking over me because i really do not know how i will cope if i miss this offer on top of everything else

I'm pretty sure you guys are going to be fine :h: It's completely normal to require a change of pants 3 times a day when results are coming up :p:

I'll have my fingers crossed for the both of us! I'm sorry to hear about your diabetes too. :frown:
Oh and guys, Max Pemberton has a new book out called 'Where Does it Hurt?'

It's due out on the 20th but Amazon already have it in stock.

If it's anything as good as 'Trust Me, I'm a (Junior) Doctor' this one is bound to promise another great read.

The whole free helathcare=socialism=communism=evil is a relic of Cold War which should have been eliminated ages ago. Actually, I think America should envy Russia in that respect- lack of haelthcare damages American economy in the long run. But as long as they are free of socialism

Three words sum up my current state of mind perfectly: Crapping. My. Pants.
I haven't dared to look at the vomit inducing results day thread and am not going to. As every exam finished in June, i done the adding up right then, and according to that, I should have gotten the grades. Yet I still feel as though I haven't. Ever since I failed my theory test 2 times before passing, I've lost some confidence. Even when I think I'm right, I always get something wrong. Part of it is also due to the fact that I retook some modules in June as well, so don't know for sure where I stand, but the retakes seemed to have gone good. If I had done them in January I should have been more sure of these June exams. I've worked so hard for this and that is the most I could have done.
I'm back from galavanting around lourdes, edinburgh and bristol and miss it all a lot :frown: But my friend said we can go to the maldives/cyprus/barcelona or something at some point in september so i'm focussing on that instead of results day. La la laaaa. *puts on fake grin*

My friend wants us to go to America, but just before Christmass, which would be too late to be related to results day :p:

I have got to the work experience part, and I'm stuck with it already. Actually, I asked Toiletpaper to help me too, does that mean I can't ask you? I never used PS helper service before and have a hazy idea of its rules

Have you posted in PS help about it yet or are you just working on it at the moment? Basically how PS help works is you start a new thread in this forum with your PS in the first post after you've got it up to a standard where you think you'd be happy to submit it to UCAS (spellchecked etc) then one of the PS helpers has a look at it and goes through it all for you giving you advice on what works/what doesn't, areas for improvement etc. There's a FAQ on it in the PS help section.

If you just have a few questions on what you're doing feel free to PM me and then post your PS in PS help when you're ready for it to be completely reviewed as we shouldn't do that by PM.
