I wonder if they will raise the amount of money we receive with student loans would match the tuition fees when the cap comes off.
If they dont, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot in the long run.

I doubt it, they are raising/destroying the caps so that the government doesnt spend so much money. It is unlikey that they would then give you more loan, it would rather defeat the point of the money scrimping.

    If they dont, then

1, fewer applicants as less people can afford the course, thus less money overall
2, fewer graduates, less stimulation in the economy, smaller GDP rise.

    They'd be stupid not to.

    Good point

but they may use the extra money to subsidise the degrees deemed more "worthwhile", hopefully like medicine.:p:

I was on a while back but then never found the time. Now that I have 4 weeks to wait until uni I use this place to while away the time and inadvertantly offend soton uni people.

It is nice to meet you too :hello:

    sigh.

I'm even depressed about my upcoming birthday.
:jumphug: Sometimes I read jonny's signature and feel sad that those days are over for good, and that I'll never not have any concerns again :emo:

On the plus side, medical school, and hopefully a surgical career in the future (and a family etc..)

(That was a really random post to try to cheer you up :p:)

I can imagine 7 years from now,

    "Ma'am, you're going to die"
    ........*she breaks into tears*......
"Oh ****! I mean you're NOT going to die, my bad "
