Will you marry me if I become a vet? :p:
Yess, gladly You wouldn't mind Emerson, would you? I can close my eyes when it comes to Mitch Hewer and Brent Corrigan :p:
    (Original post by beccy.)
sadly no vets at all, sexy or otherwise.
i dont think i met anyone especially sexy at uni.. which is sad... perhaps next year i could found romance in the bakery section of sainsburys like ferret did with his girlfriend
I found romance, but as Emerson refuses to become a vet , I must forsake my matrimonial plans towards him

You aren't posh, and neither am I.

Problem is, we're posh relative to state-schooly people (generalising I know). I think the main reason for this is that we're able to string a coherent sentence together
    YOU DISGUST ME.

A newcomer who I planned to marry, until it turned out that he isn't a vet We are still in for a passionate, extramarital affair

Sony Vaios aren't bad really, they're just not worth the money you pay for them as they are just over priced due to being a Sony product

    Woo shortbread :woo:

I know a vet about to start vet school :p: Only problem is that this vet is female... :p:
That much TP told me- way overpriced :p:
No females, I'm straight as a ruler. Does she have any male friends that are also vets?

Ditto - I'm in love with my laptop. Embarrassing really!
They're just amazing. I love how every single time I use it I find out something different about it, there just seems to be an endless amount of tricks to learn to keep it really fresh.

I just find it a real joy to use, everything is just so intuitive and it very rarely becomes frustrating. The complete opposite of my experience with PCs, in fact.

    (Original post by !MEna)
    I hope so! :o:

By the way, what screen size did you go for when purchasing your MacBook Pro?
I'm getting one next week but I'm not too sure whether to settle for 13", 15" or dare I say, 17"? :dontknow:
I went for a 13", albeit the higher specced version. My rationale is that it is the lightest to carry and therefore I am more likely to take it places, and the price difference between the 13" and the 15" is £200. For that money, you can get a very good 21" screen. So if I feel that the screen is too small for prolonged usage, I'll just buy a huge screen for my room and I have the best of both worlds really.

Fair enough. I suppose those sort of endings are kinda cliched but it sometimes works :p: If it is a particularly good film throughout though it would ruin it so I can see why you would say it could be described as a mostly good film :yep: I haven't seen it, and I'm not sure I will at the cinema as people I know didn't seem to express any interest in it :p: (These are people I go see films with :awesome:)

Scarface is pretty good from what I remember but it's just really long...well too long to watch at 1am when you are half asleep :p:

Sounds like a good plan! Best of both worlds :awesome: When is United 93 on? I might watch it if I remember/am not too tired to follow a film :p:
Oh right sorry, I thought you'd seen it and were questioning at which points did I ever think it wasn't good. So to summarise it's a pretty good film with a stellar performance from Sandler, but it's ultimately made unmemorable by it's ending.

United 93's on at 10.15. Quite late for a film but it's really worth it - the story is about the 4th plane on 9/11 where the passengers decided to try and stop it hitting it's target, and it's directed by a guy who honed his trade doing searing documentaries. It sounds simply amazing, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Cool :awesome: I considered a macbook but the fact that I haven't a clue how to use one makes it silly to spend so much money on it, especially since there was no guarantee that I would like it.. I do love my new laptop though :p: (I had a buggy phase then I found out that I installed a firewall that caused all those problems )

hmm I may have to watch those films now when I get around to it since you've also recommended it :awesome: I have seen Casino Royale and have it on dvd but don't really recall what happens as I haven't see in it a very long time.. That reminds me Quantum of Solace was a big let down for me :erm:
That's good. My main gripe about Macs is that they're now the type of machine that egotistical dicks take into Starbucks, so that everyone can see them writing. I want them to be cool and unpopular still! :p:

They are really good. It will pay to watch them in order though. But everything about them is great, from the acting to the plot to the ridiculously brilliant martial arts scenes (they're so understated they just rock - in one he attacks a guy with a biro pen!). Casino Royale is a very good film, probably the second best Bond film ever (because nothing will ever touch the magnificence of From Russia With Love ). I don't really understand the amount of stick that QoS received - sure it wasn't a classic, and it didn't really stack up in places, but it was a perfectly serviceable action flick and it by no means was the worst in the series. I just think it would have been hard for anything to follow Casino Royale, and the fact that it wasn't really pushing the boundaries at all seemed to cause a lot of anger.

Also to add about the feeling intimidated about other people at uni being too intelligent, I feel the same way, I have a strong feeling I'll be among the lower end of the academic level :emo:
Yep, should be rather scary the first couple of weeks. At least you don't have tutorials - I'm dreading the first one of those, when I can really be shown how stupid I am in comparison to another student. :s:

    (Original post by normalothercitrusfruit)
I think the main reason for this is that we're able to string a coherent sentence together :dontknow:
Or it might be something to do, judging by that line, with your crappy attitude and your willingness to look down upon anybody who isn't as privileged as you. I don't know anybody who can't string a sentence together (some even manage to do it using words with two syllables in them!), and I certainly would not be described as posh. For God's sake, have you ever met a state schooled person?
