    I'm just saying that forget your GCSEs (and in time, A Levels) because they are just a stepping stone for getting into Uni. You won't want to hear this right now but as you get older their importance decreases.

    The point I was making was that you have a very good set of results that should get you in but it's a real hard slog of a course. In comparison to the effort I put into my degree (got a 2.1 in the end) i'd have hoped he'd get a 1st because he's a very bright lad.
