I just found out that I've got a new job in Admiral - part time, so I can keep it all the way through uni. At the moment I am doing an exercise video 3/4 times a week at home for an hour. Come august 3rd, my training for the job starts, and with the job I also have a free pass for the fitness suite at Cardiff Park Plaza.

So obviously, I'lll be taking advantage of this! Ideally I want to go from the 9st 7lbs I am now, to 8 st 7lbs by Sept 16th, but I really want to be toned and around 9 st by Aug 16th. I don't mind the workouts being around 1.5-2hrs. The suite has all the mod cons - treadmill, cross trainer, weights, cycle, rower, and best of all, a lovely heated 20 m pool!

Just wondering if anyone could give me a simple routine that I could follow, that will really help me lose fat and concentrate the exercise around my legs and hips?

Not sure about a whole precise routine etc, but here are some tips:

The Sticky has loads of helpful information, have a look at all the info there.

Try HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) for fat loss, its proven to be more effective than hours on a treadmill doing the same old thing.

THE BEST exercise which works your legs and hips is the squat, it may look a bit daunting, but it is well known to be THE best leg exercise.

There are some starting points and a few links, hope it helps.
