Why? It seems like everyone who likes music plays the guitar, so it's almost a given.

Say you play a few-and-far-between instrument, like the balalaika.
I'm sure the balalaika is a cool instrument, personally I've always wanted a go on a Ukelele.
Like you said, everyone who plays music plays the guitar, which means there is lots of support and advice out there for beginners. As well as a big variety of guitars to suit everyones needs.

I just bought a violin! I can't practice it that often though because at the moment it sounds DISGUSTING because I've been out of practice for a few years (I've played before). Someone should join me in the learning.

I'd get lessons but they're bare moneyz.

I love knitting... I have never told any of my friends and certainly didn't mention it on my PS... I've knitted toys, scarves, gloves and jumpers and they're not rubbish either... I wear them to school and people ask where i bought them from.

If I was you I'd stick away from the truth say some sport or debating society at school and then join it for a month so atleast you'd have something to say on it. I thinkg they'd proababy appreciate a debating soc member than a person who likes to knit. Universities are horrible in that way sometimes... Also go for something that includes contact with other people? so that it demonstrates that you're good in a team and confident?

Coming to write my personal statement I've realised how darn boring I am and I would definitely like to take on a new hobby which is preferably inexpensive, fun, and will help me to stay in shape :p:
At first I was thinking of joining a gym but that can't be much fun and I'm assuming it isn't much of a place for socialising, and then there's the cost. Martial arts have always appealed to me or dance classes...but I'm too scared :o:
What do you do? What should I do? :woo:

Edit: I forgot, I also want to meet some new people
Learn a language. I recommend Portuguese :awesome:

Parkour/Freerunning, look it up but it is mainly a male dominated activity but from what I know, there are many girls who are really good at it too. Just check it out and see what you think :yep:

I'm starting to wonder if sarcasm works anymore, or if its effect on other people is just different than what it used to be.
