Just trying to get my crossing types straight...

Zebra: Black and white striped poles with flashing amber beacons... ALWAYS give way to pedestrians waiting to cross?

    Pelican
: Manually operated by pedestrain, traffic lights with sequence green, red, flashing amber, green, red etc

Puffin: Same as pelican but flashing amber phase is constant amber.

Toucan: For pedestrian + cyclists... red, amber, green, red, amber etc

Pegasus: Same as toucan but only for horse riders.

Only have one site as source... have i got this all straight?

Yes. Red and amber show together after the red light. They still mean "stop".
