    Thanks for the info/advice Sub. =) I have heard about NMC bringing back what was RGN route and scrapping the branches and I'm pleased to hear that nursing education may well be working on the same basis as medical education - in regards with bringing in a mandatory preceptorship/F1 equivalant before qualifying would be a good idea - from a untrained point of view!

    Interesting stuff!

    I thought the NMC were proposing making nursing a graduate only programme from 2011/12?

    Out of interest, has the degree only programmes worked within midwifery?

    I've never heard of that...
    Anyway it depends on the person theirself on how well they do in their training, you could go to the best university for nursing and still do utterly rubbish.

    Very true, but you would hope that if someone was utterly rubbish they wouldn't manage to pass through the course!
