Has any1 gone to uni with just paperwork and a back pocket full of cash?

I was thinking maybe just buying everything when i get there and go shopping on the first day. It would so much less hassle instead of luggin things around. Most people tend to buy new stuff for uni anyway so why not just buy it when u get there.

If you have that kind of cash, then I don't really see why you can't just put your stuff in the boot of your chauffeur driven limo.

I'm going to buy pretty much everything once I get there, because I have to fly over. So essentially I'm going over with a suitcase full of clothes I already have, and that's it lol ><

When I was on a train on the way to the uni where I did my MSc I met a guy from Nigeria. The guy had a bag that was so small, it's the kind of bag most people here would consider an overnight bag. I assume he did a lot of shopping when we got there. So it can be done.

Well I'm bringing my laptop. clothes and bedding and waiting til I'm there to buy everything else because a. I have to buy essential things like stationary, plates & cutlery, cooking equipment, washing powder etc anyway so might as well just get it when I'm there and b. I figure if I bring a toaster/kettle/iron etc my other flatmates will probably have brought the same things so may as well wait til I get there to see if any of those things are needed
