How much I use TSR is an indicator of how well my social life is going.

If I'm bored and none of my friends can see me I go on here loads, if I'm actually out doing things TSR is cruelly abandoned.

It doesn't make me less sociable though, because socialising always comes first. It probably makes me more sociable, because instead of my bored-hours being filled with solitary activities and/or moping about by myself true loser fashion, they are at least occupied actually communicating with real people, if only via the internet (true loser fashion also but less so... perhaps)

If you dont like something I have to say then just debate me in a reasonable and rational manner - I will be happy to explain my position and you will find that my position is based upon sound logic and rationale. We are all young adults here.

However negging me with abuse (such as **** off (you seem like a very nice person) and calling me a 'fundamentalist' without explaining why my views are wrong is just childish and pathetic.

Is it me, or is TSR more relaxed than it used to be? I tend not to see grades posted in sigs anymore. There also seem to be fewer anti-drinking, anti-sex, morally superior type members around.

Er no. I personally only go on TSR when I have nothing else I want to do. I think you would change as a person if you did anything for 2 weeks non stop mate.

    Variation is the key.

I practically lived on TSR for about 2 weeks not too long ago but lately I've got so bored of people on here and their attitudes so I've stayed off it for a good couple of days and to be honest, my self-esteem and how much more sociable I've become has shot up.

I actually became really cynical and negative when I was on here quite alot...

I know thats the extreme because I was on here a fair bit, but what does TSR do you? Does it change how you are with people in the real world? In comparison to ur real friends when u hang out with them, how do people on here compare?

    Wondered if its just me?

Please keep anon or delete as I know alot of people on here outside TSR.
I haven't found any negative effects that I couldn entirely blame on TSR. People who have read my threads would know that I feel down, alot. I used to just bottle it up and ignore it before, which would results in some pretty bad drinking/crying sessions. One resulted in me having a seizure :/

I try to deal with my feelings head on now, which results in me being down quite a bit, but i don't have the major sessions anymore, which i see as being a good thing.
I don't think its changed the way I am with my friends and work mates in real life very much.
I think if a website was affecting me in a negative way that much, I would steer clear for good.

TSR seems to be full of angry nerds with superiority complexes who spend their nights masturbating onto their GCSE/ A level results certificates
Why are they angry ? Are you one of them?

Hmm, it's 50 / 50. Sometimes Tsr makes me feel crap and inadequate, other times it makes me feel better about myself! Some of the weirdest thing's i've ever seen (read about) in my life have been on the TSR Health and Relationships section.

I think it makes me more confident as I can speak to like minded people. If I spent all day arguing in general discussion then it might make me anti social and cynical but I've found a great bunch of people I talk to regularly so it's part of my real life not a replacement. It just happens there's more like minded people on here than I know around me at the moment.
Darn you for negging me! You had no reason to neg me in the other thread. It was another person who negged you, not me!
Vengenece will be mine one day!
