Physics A-level is ****. Physics on the other hand is quite fun

Sidenote: I'm having a massive geometry fail; I can't prove that is constant, or in other words, every circle has an equal ratio between it's diameter and it's circumference, or in other words, the laws of similar shapes.
err..why would you want to prove that?

Yes, in GD. The forum you mod.

For the sake of proving it it's a pretty important piece of mathematics and I want to see why it's true, given I've lived for now seven years or so just accepting it.

edit: I misworded what I wanted to prove. What I want to prove is that all circles are similar, without using the fact that the area is or the circumference is .

Who, me and John Locke? If John Locke wants to, he can. I'm not really bothered that much about the matter.

lol I spose. probably why you want to do maths at uni

I used to question things like that but there are so many things that I've learnt to accept them for the sake of getting an A in A level maths and be done with it

Yeah that's understandable. There are lots of questionable things in A-level maths, that proof of them is just a little too complicated, or sometimes vastly too complicated, for almost every student to try to get to grips with. It's nice if you can understand where things come from though

I think I might have had a mini breakthrough.

Truer words have never been spoken.
