I got rejected from LSE today
Awww unlucky. You have an offer from UCL though right?
LSE is extremely competitive, more than Oxbridge for a lot of courses!

    It's ok

I think I may just withdraw from Warwick soon if they don't get a move on and hope for a miracle if I decide to firm UCL

Im fairly sure  that you can resit and as long as overall your best marks make 90%

I thought that in science as long as I got >270/300 overall I'd qualify for an A*

You can resit to get an A*?
Seems a bit silly to me- defeats the object of an A*.
If they want to award an A* to challenge the 'most able students' you should really be getting 90+ first time round

    H-okay....

    (Original post by A-shrew-A)
To be awarded an A*, candidates will need
to achieve a grade A on the full A Level qualification
and an A* on the aggregate of the A2 units
Nothing about resits, if its just aggregate then I assume theyre allowed -- bearing in mind this is for AQAscience

to get an A* you shouldn't reallly be allowed to resit but there we go :p:

    It's not the government's fault :p:

the exam boards are silly :yep:

You have to get 90 UMS+ in each A2 module (ignoring maths) too to get an A*, I thought..

    Its so confusing!
We rang OCR, and if you get >90% in C3 and C4 and (possibly) 90+overall you can have a maths A*
