It just looks quite blood-shot. My eyes go quite blood shot when I am very tired. If it doesn't disappear by itself and is worrying her she should obviously go and see the GP.

Its an eye that she can't seeout of or feel by the way, so my best guess is that its just a big piece of grit that most of us would have felt but she can't?? I told her to wait n see if it fades, and if she wakes up and it hasn't go to the Drs because he might be able to remove whatever it is or give her eye drops or wash her eye out or whatever, is that leaving it too long??

Oh right....if she can't see out of it and/or it hurts, I would say go to the doctors immediately. If there is something in it, leaving it there for longer could cause further damage.

I doubt she'll be happy with that but I'll text her and tell her that her eye could fall out is she doesn't (just to make her go :p: )

Still looks bloody freaky though eh??

I was well worried when I saw it!! :frown:

She hasn't had any exams since this time LAST year...

She hasn't got any exams 'till this time NEXT year...

Not revision, thats for sure!! :p:
Hmmm... My bio teacher had that sort of thing one day. He came in and half of his eye was just bright red, it cleared up in a couple of days, he wasn't in pain or anything, and he said he didn't know what it was. Could be the same thing he had?
Get her to go to the doctors anyway, there's no harm in it...

As in, she can't see out of it/feel it normally? Or as a result of this? If the former, it does just look like it's got irritated by something and has got bloodshot - my mum's looked like that when she got scratched by a rosebush. If it stays like that/starts to disappear, it should actually be ok, but if it gets worse/swells/oozes stuff, she should get to a doctor.

Does she wear contacts? Cos maybe she stratched her eye when she was taking them out.

if it's not going to make her go blind then she shouldnt worry as much as if she could see out of it...but still worry because it looks really really painful.

She can't see normally out of it normally... or feel it very much... but it's never been that bad before... I text her telling her to go Drs straight away because if it's scratching her eye then that cant be good
Burst blood vessel is my educated guess.

Meh, if it makes her feel better, though it might not be necessary - most things that get in your eye get swept out of it anyway quite quickly. It'll give her some peace of mind at least, but she's unlikely to die cos of it or anything.

Not that I know of, but she could be hiding it...

Do you think that's likely??

I'm going Drs with her tomorrow morning...
