    Hey guys

I was just thinking to myself whether my routine at the gym is sufficient enough for weight loss and fitness improvement..

I go to the gym about four times a week and my routine goes as follows...

15 mins on the cross trainer at level 10 for 15-20 mins

Then i do the treadmill in which I walk for two minutes at an incline of 5 and speed of 7, and the i run for one minute at an incline of 5 and speed of 13 i do this 6/7 times/intervals.

I say i burn about 400 calories off a session..

What are your gym routines or excercise routines?

How many calories do you burn per session on average?

How often do you do excercise?

    Is my routine ok?

Thank you for your replies in advance...

    Much love x x

cross trainer is ok if it is as a warm up.

On the treadmill cut the walking down to 30 seconds and then 30 seconds of sprints (not quick i mean flat out sprinting for you) do this 5 or 6 times and you will be dead and persist with it an your fitness will improve.

You should also do resistance training, Squats, deadlifts, pressing.

Doing this will burn more fat and build some muscle (thus the dreaded T word).

I probably burn in excess of 1000kcals in a session which i do around 4 times a week (we probably only 2 of them would burn that much).

Your workout seems fine for weightloss.
    My workout is:
    25 min on cross trainer
45 min on resistance machines and power plate
30 min run on treadmill? Sometimes 20 min or no treadmill
later on i normally do an 60 min run
occasional 15 min on free weights

I make sure i burn over 600 cals a day and if i follow my workout above i would burn about 1000 cals but thats only when i do alot of excersise.
