Slightly irrelevant but I read a (fiction) book in which this happened. 2 men who went to save the girl punched the rapist but he hit his head and died when he fell, and the man who hit him got 6 months in jail and the other man 3 months. Don't think that would happen in real life though...

if you were wearing a mask and a cape and had a catchy name no-one would know your true identity so you'd be fine

I'm walking down the street and hear a scream round the corner in a dark alley. I rush over and see a man - with his penis out - holding a woman against the wall while cutting her dress with a knife. I rush over and in trying to save the woman, I end up killing the man in the struggle to get the knife out of his hands.
Only for a man with a movie camera to run up to you and tell you that they were shooting an effing porno movie you effing wnkr

Killing him would be a bit unfair, I say whoever is there to help the woman and the woman rape the rapist

I OP means they get into a struggle with the rapist(he has a knife) and they kill the rapist, but they don't set out too.

Obviously killing a rapist gives him a bit of an easy way out, what you should do is "accidentally" cause that knife to cut off his penis. But if you call 999 straight away otherwise he'll bleed out.

ALSO if you do call an ambulance it might help your case.:yep:

What I want to know is, how could you prove it was attempted rape and it wasn't a set-up by the woman and hero[ine]?

    Hypothetical situation. *cough cough* :ninja:

What would happen? (legally). It's not self-defence... would it be counted as vigilante actions? (which I assume to be illegal)...

    hmm... do enlighten me TSRians.
I think you should get a honour, the law would probably say you've done something wrong... screwed up world eh?

You'd be heralded as a hero in the media. Even if technically you were convicted I'd imagine you'd get a suspended sentence.

I think that would still count as self-defence. I guess you'd have to hope there were witnesses to prove that though .

Man slaughter? But then again, since the person was a rapist, I don't think anybody would care.

hope there was a CCT nearby to give video evidence (there bound to be one everywhere nowadays) and a decent lawyer, and it should be ok.

You'd get a massive prison sentence even though you were helping the women and you ridded the world of a piece of scum. Only in Britain :awesome:
