Would it only be things like libraries and bookshops that would be relevant enough to put on a PS for English, or would any job be ok to mention? I've been calling round all these gorgeous little bookshops near where I live, but none is recruiting atm. I did work experience in a library, but they're not looking for people, either.

Have a look at www.do-it.org.uk, they sometimes have charities wanting people to help write/edit information sheets etc.
    Have you looked at publishers?

    Ooh thank you.

I looked at my local newspaper, but they aren't taking anyone. Publishers, eh? :beard:

Do you know what working at publishers would entail? :o:

And do you know where I could find any writing vacancies on that site?

You would probably be better asking for work experience for a couple of weeks. It will involve basic shadowing/making tea for everyone, but it would be better than nothing, and you may make contacts for the future.

If you put your location into the site, just look through the results. Again, it is voluntary though.

Also, see if there is an Oxfam bookshop near you - I'm thinking of applying to volunteer in one .
