thats not what I have said, ive said its development from 1800 to at least 1945 which has led to a multi cultural/ racial. But it had its roots so it was becoming so.
I would disagree. Only since the fifties did it even cross the mind of the political elite to construct a multi-cultural society as a result of extreme left wing influence. This is shown by the passing of the British nationality act in 1948,which was when the population of the country started to change.

And to further my point, What is the meaning of Christmas...? The Birth of Jesus = Christianity...!
Yeah, but lots of people who celebrate Christmas now don't do it for Christian reasons at all, even if those are its origins. (Well, that and a lot of Roman and Pagan stuff.)

How many people do you know who actually go to church on Christmas? Compare that to how many people just sit around the house all day enjoying family, presents and eating.

I'm not racist and do not wish to sound like a BNP supporter but don't you feel white British people will become a minority sometime in the future. I was out in town today and I saw so many black and Asian people with a few whites chucked in lol. I've got nothing against people coming over here to live but the Government simply has let in far too many, including white Europeans.
yes, no, maby, i dont know can u repeat the question your not the boss of me now your not the boss of me now and your not so big life is unfair....

I disagree, Immigrants had to find there own way and were generally disliked by the population. However when such movements as such as Internment kicked in, the populations opinion once swung against, then in thier favour. I think that this sympathy shows that Britons although they disliked them knew they had become part of that society, and no matter how begrugingly they accepted them. hostile actions againts them helped develpoled a multicultral society. The fact that many women and men sacraficed there british nationalization proves that multicultrasim was developing.

Why does it matter in the slightest? Are you too blind to see past colour?
Could. Not. Have. Put. It. Better. Myself.

Sorry for the awful punctuation, but you get the drift.

Interesting thought: have you ever thought what we'd look like if all the regional variations in skin colour and facial/bodily features that humanity takes on were to be merged? It's very pretty.

That was the point I was trying to make to AP_89, Yes Christmas isn't really celebrated in this country as a day of Christianity. I agree 100% with that.

The point I was making was:

    1) This is Britain
    2) We Celebrate Christmas regardless of any other religion or it's origin
    3) Christianity is the recognised faith of this Country
    4) We shouldn't as British Citizens have to do anything differently, than we normally would around Christmas time just because somebody may disapprove.

Point 4 sounds very racist, but it's not. If people cannot come to this country and respect what we do a British Citizens, then they shouldn't come over here. If I walked into a Mosque in a Muslim Country with my shoes on I would have the book thrown at me, So out of respect, I remove my shoes before entering, because I have respect for other peoples beliefs.

So Maybe other religions should pay us the same courtesy and respect don't you think when visiting a foreign country? And if they don't like the fact we put Christmas Tree's up everywhere, they don't have to come again.

The type of Government we have states that everybody is entitled to their own beliefs, so as a foreign person, if you don't like something, you have the rights to have it changed. Would we get that in somewhere like Saudia Arabia?? NO! So under this government, the minority change spoil the majoirities enjoyment? Now how is that fair??

Answer = It isn't and shouldn't be like that!

Now I'm not saying people who believe in other religions are not welcome to this country. I just think they should show the respect we give them if we were in their country!

I'm pretty sure he's just jokingly saying a typical right-wing nutjob thing to say. "blooming immigrants, coming over here, stealing our jobs.... blah blah blah"

They don't STEAL jobs, dumbarses. They fill some jobs and create others.

This is why I like to reply: "blooming immigrants, coming over here, paying our taxes, cleaning our toilets, doing the jobs we hate, contributing to our economy, lowering our dependency ratio, why can't they do that in their own countries?!"

The immigrants you speak of were so few and far between that little was done about the issue. Perhaps the sparse collection of a few European immigrants did help to ease along further multi-cultural intentions, however that stills holds no weight when asking "Anyone feel this country is too multi-racial?".

You said that Britain had been multi-racial for 200 years, which is factually incorrect, as an attempt to justify the way things are now, which as I see holds no relation whatsoever to the current situation we are in.

Many, if not most, of the black and Asian people you see out in town today may well have been born in this country. They may well feel just as British as a white person born in this country.
And lots of Eastern Europeans are seasonal migrant workers and often don't stay here long-term.

Possibly irrelevant, but it my understanding that the bigger and more varied the gene pool (as far distantly related as possible) the healthier the national stock. Therefore multiracialism (even a word?) is a good thing in that sense.

Over populated is however a different matter..

    Not at all.

I guess it depends where are. In big cities especially London there are lot of non-white peeps, but in a lot of other towns and cities its the other way around. As an asian person myself I've been in situations where I'm the only coloured person plenty of times. I was in Bristol a couple of weeks ago and noticed how very little people ethnic minorities there were, which just suprised me cos its big city. It never nice to feel the odd one out, but you have to just suck it up.
In Bristol it's just the city centre that seems that way. When you are anywhere else in Bristol it's alot more diverse.
