I am being taxed on tax code BR, however I have not yet given my P45 to my new employer. On that P45 it says my tax code is 647L. Am I paying too much tax? I've just checked on the tax calculator that I will pay less tax if I'm on 647L......

    ?? THANKS

Yes you possibly will be paying more tax on BR as you don't have the tax free allowance. Best thing to do is get your P45 in ASAP.

:ditto: You should get back what you've overpaid through the normal payroll procedures once you're on the correct code, provided this is sorted before the end of the tax year (in April).
