Would you add someone on Facebook who you've never talked to before?

Hey, I need some advice
Normally I stick to girls my age, or older and have never had problems with girlfriends (last girlfriend lasted 18 months), and even help my friends with girls. The thing is though, there was always mutual interest from the start and it was easy to have an excuse to talk to them etc before asking them out.
I'm not completely hung up on her or anything, but basically over the past week I've started liking a girl in year 10. I'm in year 12 (just turned 17) Year 10s and 12s don't mix at my school, including lessons, parties and all the usual ways of getting girls that you like. I also don't even know her, and have never spoken to her, I just like what I see and hear about her.
I'm not that bothered - plenty more fish in the sea - but if I find a way of getting her, then I would try it, plus knowing how to may come in handy in the future.
Because I don't know her, don't know if she even knows who I am, don't know any of her friends, or have any reason to talk to her I am screwed for ideas.
What makes it worse is she is arguably the most attractive girl in the school, so the 'older guy' thing doesn't have so much of a grasp, haha.
And btw, is it wrong to like a younger girl (she's 2 years younger max because I'm young in my school year.)
Cheers for the advice girls (and boys?)

I'm not looking for another 18 month thing. Believe me!
