Hi, please don't tell me to call NHS direct, as I hate talking to people on the phone.

    I have:

    Very sore throat
    Painful swallowing
    I'm very cold and shivering/shaking a bit
My skin is very sensitive, especially to friction
I have a small whitish/yellowish stone on the back of my throat
I have a mild general aching all over
    Very very slight headache

Apart from the sore throat, which started this morning, these all started in the last 3 or 4 hours.

I have drunk one can of red bull.

A couple of days ago I had a small invisible lump on my armpit.

    Thanks for any help.

on serious thought, GP would be ideal, it could be a completely normal cold. No one here would give you an exact diagnoses

I should mention that I've had the yellow stones before and have got them off with a cotton bud each time.

The yellowish 'stones' that you can remove probably being pus on your tonsils. Tonsillitis is my bet.

Tonsillitis, but yeah, go to a doctor come on. Whatever it is it's not like we can prescribe you drugs for it.

If you don't want to call NHS direct, they have a self diagnosis thing on their website, and on Sky TV as well.
