My friend at Uni said she's not gonna receive the Tuition Fee Loan and either the Maintenance Grant/Loan for her second year because she failed her first year. She got in touch with the Student Finance people or whatever it is they call themselves these days and they said they do not fund you for the same year twice..

She did have ALOT of crap goin on in her life though so I was just wondering if there's a way she can get them to fund her again..?

She got around about £8000 last year but I'm confused cos I know quite a few people on my course that failed the forst year so are they ALL not getting funded again??

Tell her to contact her University's finance team.

You're allowed at least one repeat year, and more if you have compelling personal reasons.
