I currently have 60 Open Uni points under my belt, and another 60 coming when I complete next year's course. I plan on applying to Nottingham Trent and I was wondering if they would take me with 120 OU points, but no A levels? I want to do something media/english based in 2010.

    Thanks for any help!

I'm sure they'd consider you - they might even consider you for second year entry as you will have completed the equivalent of a first year, so ring them up and talk to them about it. The points you talk about aren't "OU", they are a transferable "currency" within higher education. The issue will be compatibility between the ground you've covered with the OU and the first year of the Nottingham Trent course.

Thanks, thats helped a lot. I thought they would just be considered worthless because they weren't a 'proper' qualification, but I will check with them

I have an offer from Nottingham Trent based on Open Uni points. I do have A levels, but they allowed me to enter directly into the 2nd year based on my OU study

A Levels in economics, maths and physics from 2004. Applied for Business Economics. Have a Certificate in Business Studies from the OU. I have loads of work experience, too
