Men are supposed to (according to society):

    - like football
    - be aggressive
    - not show emotion
    - chase after women a lot
    - like cars

Women (again, according to society) are supposed to:

    - show emotion a lot
    - like shopping
    - like fashion
    - like make-up and accessories

Now, by society's definition, are you a man's man or woman's woman?

Are gender roles based on fact, and should there be gender roles?

    I like that question.
as i look around at the poeple within our society it frustrates me how many accept gender roles and even believe it as if it was morally right.
gender roles are not based on fact they are media driven aspirations given to the masses.

I am not a mans man by societies definition.
i believe anyone who steps away from the stereotype is a thousand times more interesting to talk to.

there will always be gender roles until people open their eyes to this ****

    I like football.
A car is a car, nothing more to me.
I show emotion at carefully selected occasions.
Not aggressive/intimidating as such but still get involved in all of the male brutality with my mates.
I like women very much so.

I like all of those listed in the "woman's woman" section. It doesn't necessarily make me a woman's woman. :\

    Errrr what?

I am a woman. I assume, therefore, that I am a 'woman's woman' and not a 'man's man', if those are my only two options. Am I right?

Out of everything on that list, the only one that applies is football, which I love.
I try to keep my emotions hidden, but they show themselves after a while, so... :dontknow:

2 out of 4. Surely, there are more social expectations but there you go.

I think people don't realize that it's not as much about "How much of a man's man you are" or "a woman's woman" as it is about how much you are of BOTH. And here I bet the vast majority of people have a fair share of both genders.

ive never seen myself as very womanly at all, but i do show my emotion, and lovelovelove shopping, fashion make-up and accessories.

on the flipside i despise cars, aggression, promiscuity and football. maybe i'm a bigger confomist to gender roles than i initially imagined...

From the options that define a woman's woman given above, I think that I am a woman's woman, however i personally do not think that they are the only two variables that define gender roles in this day and age

I am so not a woman's woman and I'm glad I'm not. No offence but I'm just not really super girly, that sort of behaviour tends to annoy me tbh.
