Hardly, considering the computer RPG archetype is based on the tabletop RPG archetype.
Modern day morals are based on the Bible and most people prefer to forget that.

    (Original post by Hylean)
Yes, because you are the Voice of God.
Not necessarilly, but "we - the people" are capable of thinking up our own opinions without needing confirmation from those who are signed to a contract.

    (Original post by Hylean)
Yea, but the way you play them isn't. The same in regards to WRPGs. They are just as linear, it's just in how you play them.
Ok, now i'm convinced you don't even play RPGs.

    (Original post by Hylean)
Actually, Mass Effect is commonly held to be a TPS with RPG aspects.
By people who don't know what they're talking about yes.

    (Original post by Hylean)
LoZ is considered an RPG by most critics and gamers
By people who don't know what they're talking about yes - see my picture in the previous post for more evidence, I cannot emphasise it enough - video game tabloids do not have a clue.

    (Original post by Hylean)
Of course, insult the demographic to get your point across. That'll win the argument.
The irony is, I am part of the demographic :o:

    (Original post by Hylean)
they are also the people who essentially created the terms we are arguing about
No, they're not, the terms are created by general video game players. The media at the time (magazines and to a much lesser extent - television) simply were means to communicate and transmit many of these words.

    (Original post by Hylean)
and the ones who decide what genre a game really is
What i'm trying to emphasise, is "logic" is what dictates a video game genre. Not what some retard in Nintendo Official Magazine says.

    (Original post by Hylean)
Much like a music magazine will label a new band.
Do not even start with band genres. :woo:

    (Original post by Hylean)
The critics decide and as much as you may rail against it, it won't change that fact.
If this is how you genuinely feel, then you are a tool i'm afraid.

    (Original post by Hylean)
And I shan't be swayed by your opinion either. :p:
I think I don't really care about changing your opinion. I think now i just want you to not be such a massive tool for the media. Seriously, I might be up my own ass, but the grass is still greener over here.

You don't have Uncharted 2?! Get out. Now... :p:

How can you not have played what many people call the game of the year for 2009?!

You've played the first Uncharted yeah?
    No... :facepalm2:

    (Original post by pinkpenguin)
Resi 4 on the Wii = :coma: The controls were perfect. It certainly isn't as good as 4, but having brothers means the co-op aspect of was awesome.

So it is, downloading now! Never played a GT game before. 'Realistic' driving games never really appealed to me, but we shall see.

    Diddy Kong Racing ftw though.
What I hated about offline co-op is that the screens are too small! Why just a little box?! I only have 19" widescreen.

It's only a time trial competition, 1 track 1 car AFAIK. The winner goes to the GT Academy, to train to become a pro driver AFAIK.

    No... :facepalm2:

    Fail...

Well you know what to ask for Xmas then - both of the Uncharted's!

You certainly can't play the second one without playing the first one. It'll be a much better experience if you play them in order.

See this never happened for me. Mine split normally, not in those silly boxes. I have a small 16" fail of a TV (yet U2 still looks incredible). It may well be because mine is not widescreen.

You need some Uncharted in your life.

Only played the first level but Peace Walker is genius.

It looks great, sounds great and the controls are perfect.

Uncharted 2 is the most epic game I have ever played! Followed by MW2, then MW, then the Guitar Hero series, then FIFA 10, then GT5:P, then LBP and finally Buzz!

    It's ****ing crap.

Will have to log on to get those free avatars though... Not.
