...Okay, so it's at least semi-official. I've just done a survey run on behalf of Sony, which mainly focusses on the following:
Sony is considering offering a premium PlayStation Network subscription in the future. The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming (current features would remain free).

We will now present you with a series of scenarios. Each scenario offers many different features the premium PSN subscription package could come with and that you could choose to sign-up for. You can sign-up for at most one service in each scenario. For each scenario, please indicate which service you would sign up for, if any. When considering each scenario please disregard the services you have seen in previous scenarios and choose only among the services in the current scenario.

In addition, each service offers two payment plans, monthly and annual, which provides a discount over a monthly plan over the course of a year. The price shown for each must be paid up-front to obtain service. At the end of the month or year you would then have the option to pay again in order to continue your service. For purposes of this exercise, however, please focus on the decision on what you would pay up-front for one month or one year of service.
It then gives a list that's pretty much the one that jermaindefoe gave above.

Here are some examples of what they're suggesting:

I gave up saving the lists after the first five, I'm afraid. My first thought is that, generally, these options re all very expensive! Would anyone here be interested in a service with a £100 annual fee? I know that I wouldn't be, unless it was something very special! :lolwut:

Either of the first two. Probs Infamous as you can get MW1 pretty cheap now. How much is it?

Firstly, good choice with Uncharted 2! :yy:

Out of those three, I'd go with inFamous, unless you're a huge fan of driving/racing games. CoD4 is a great game, but with MW2 being out now it's probably past its best.

Looking at it from a price perspective though, inFamous can actually be picked up for less than CoD4 now! :p:

I'll happily pay Sony half a banana & a chocolate hobnob to have premium access.

If it's anywhere near £100, then they are seriously having a giraffe!

They would have to seriously re-vamp and re-think many things before charging that.
