Ive found a preowned ps3 in game for £170 is this good?
Im buying one soon anyway so wondering if i should grab it now?
Also my first game purchases are going to be
fallout 3? is this any good? the concept looks amazing!
I already have the callofduties and fifas on my brothers ps3 so i can just steal those but what other games do you recommend. i love online play and first person shooters rather than 3rd person. adventure games are all good as well. is lost planet any good?
    thanks
If the preowned PS3 is a Slim, go for it, if it's fat, don't. Fat's aren't very reliable. Try to get a warranty too. Fallout 3 is a good game, but I preferred The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion. There are a list of people's recommended games on the OP, plus I posted a list of a few good games a few posts ago. Uncharted 2 is probably the must-have adventure game. I don't think Lost Planet is very good.

AC2 and Warhawk I have, dunno whether to get FF XIII cos I've never played FF before. Heavy Rain is one I've been meaning to borrow of a mate of mine and R&C is one that I've been meaning to get but it kinda slipped my mind. Dunno about BFBC, really didn't enjoy the first one and I've got MW2.
Well you've got to try a FF sometime!

I wish games would let you have the option to fully customise the controls. Im playing BC2, and i dont like any of the presets! Mainly because i hate using R1 to fire, i want to use the Triggers on the R2/L2 buttons! They make more sense to use in a shooter

I have to say though, it was the same in the first bad company actully, the sound of the weapons is brilliant.

    :fyi: Bidded isn't a word.

    :ahee:

    I couldn't resist
If it isn't bidded, then what is it then? :holmes:

    I bought Milito. :ahee:

BFBC1 gameplay is pretty poor in today's standards, but BFBC2 looks amazing, I have it but I've never got round to playing it. :teehee:

    I think it's just 'bid'

Almost finished God of War 3, the sex scene was pretty amusing.

The Fyi dude is quite annoying...I think I'll use him more often :awesome:

I should really get BFBC2 cos it does look decent.

    Why so?
Because they are generally going to be a lot older than the newer Slims, especially if you're getting yours second hand. They are also much more prone to the Yellow Light of Death, whereas the Slims don't suffer from it (as far as I know). Firmware updates are less likely to cause the Slim models to breakdown, whereas sometimes it causes problems when upgrading the firmware in the fat models. The recent failure of PS3's due to it not being able to recognise that this year was a leap year in their calendars did not affect the Slim models. etc, etc.

Slims are also a lot quieter and run a lot cooler than the fats.

    BC campaign was poor IMO.

    - You couldn't shoot in the water.
    - You could end a mission bypassing the enemy i.e you could dodge past enemy and meet at the smoke to end that part of the mission. Most of the time, I went over the hills to run past everything or go in the water and swim round.
    - There was 1 mission where there were LOADS of tanks, military vehicles and ships - that level was stupidly difficult even on Normal, took me ages to dodge it all.

The ending was quite good though.

I have no idea how you've not spent 50 hours playing the game so far. Maybe it only counts actual playing time or something.

Yeah it's time on the pitch I believe. I got it a couple of months ago. I should start trying to get the other trophies as well, like the stadiums one or the "play with a team from every league one".
