Just making sure you knew the release date for LBP2. :teehee: So ... you won't be playing the awesome games coming out in November. :sigh:

On a tangent, I watched the Bourne Ultimatum last night (the movie you were hyped about), it was surprisingly good (seeing as sequels are supposed to get progressively worse). Sequel?
Nope, I'm going to have to wait and then splurge on gams in December. Still, good things come to those who wait. :teeth:

The Jason Bourne films are all brilliant, the last two in particular (which they should be, coming from my favourite director!). I don't want another one though, the story is all wrapped up and the ending is perfect - they shouldn't ruin that just to make a bit more money (but then I dislike sequels in general; I'm worried they will ruin the memory of one of my favourite films, Cloverfield, with a sequel but hopefully Abrams has forgotten about that and will just go off and make the awesome Super 8 instead).

    £108 cash, you can get.
To be fair, maybe sell it for £100 to be nice?
I did the same as you; I sold my PS3 to my brother and bought the slim. I've had no problems with it; I'm very happy with it.
    ----------------------------------------------------
In other new guys, I've made a PS3 theme. It's a Liverpool FC theme (me being me) and I made it during my free time the last few days. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a look at it, and let me know if there's anything wrong/buggy with it?
    Thanks
http://www.filedropper.com/liverpoolfc is the link to download.
Of course I'll rep those who are kind enough to leave feedback
I'll download it being a liverpool fan too :five:

Hey guys, I was thinking of perhaps selling my PS3 to my older brother, and upgrading to the PS3 Slim. I prefer the design of the old fatty, but I think the slim would be more convienient to take away with me (with the bonus of more HD space).

I have the 40GB PS3 model, but I'm not sure of a good price to sell, bearing in mind I want to give it away at a fair (family) price. :p:

Any ideas of the current market price, or are there any reasons to avoid the PS3 Slim?

Nah knew about the first but has no idea they'd even started on this! Must have missed it at E3. Being in Spain and my laptop broken means I ain't been keeping up with gaming news. Wasn't looking out for it as the first remake isn't long out. Nice surprise though!

Sheba on pro is a goddamn ballache. Get hit, hold on! Wait, wait, die. All while she's stood one foot away with five herb mixes on her. Done it all now though, just the max upgrades trophy for platinum and I've the perfect farming spot, only need about 300,000 more. Tribal Sheva is hot!

Platinuming RE5 was quite fun, upgrading all the weapons was a bit long but it's pretty easy. I think one of the hardest trophies to get was getting a headshot on a zombie in mid air.

I think so but you can get 60,000 doing 4-1 in 15 minutes and you get the points for doing it that way too.

Oh there's definitely going to be a Cloverfield sequel. sooner or later. The Bourne books (loosely based) go on for another few stories and I don't think the director is returning for a fourth. It's the same with video games. The people that make them need financial security so when it comes down to making a fresh and unique film or game, they have that element of risk. And such risk in this economic climate could mean the death of your studio (Alan Wake is a good video game example of not doing too well in terms of sales). On the other end of the spectrum, they can just make another sequel and use the brand name. The same consumers will buy it every year.

Look at MGM. James Bond (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) were both really good movies and now the studio is on the verge of collapse.

But that was a super unrelated note. I'm excited for Super 8 too!

will be on mw2 later today if your up for some more, i cant stress how much better it is playing with people who try to win opposed to playing it on your own, it feels like a different game completley

also, inception spoiler so dont look guys unless you have seen it, clears a few things up

apparently the ending, where he sees his kids is a dream and he is still in limbo, because when the others wake up on the plane the mark who they are trying to plant the idea in is already awake, this means he would have seen the device that was used to connect them up to each other. That and the fact that the mark had just had dreams about the guys in his head, then wakes up as if nothing has happened on the plane is more than strange, in reality you would be like WTF i just freamt these people kidnapped me lol

I'm more pensive about a Cloverfield sequel than distraught. While it would undoubtedly be terrible and diminish the first film if they were to have backstory of the monster, or what he did next, Reeves and Abrams seem to know what they are doing and not want to spoil it by rushing it out. I also heard a pretty decent idea they were talking about where the sequel would be the events filmed from a different character's perspective of that night (when they were on the bridge, you saw another guy filming with a camcorder). That could be cool, and not take away from the first film.

The 4th Bourne Book was the first time when a ghostwriter (Eric van Lustbader) took credit for a Robert Ludlum series. It is also the first time when Bourne transforms from merely a highly talented spy to a superhero capable of preposterous stunts. They are terrible books. But it is worth noting that the only thing the films really share with the books is the title. :p:

I disagree a little bit with the comparison with video games developers. The film studio has very little influence on the finished product (not too many people would be able to tell you the company responsible for a film if they watched it without the opening announcements) whereas a games studio will often be very recognisable from their stock (Bethesda, for example). Churning out popular sequels are undoubtedly a good way of raising capital, but I don't like seeing the memories of decent films tarnished just for someone to spin a profit.

MGM is a sad case, a bit peculiar too. Warner Bros. will buy them out very cheaply now though and in doing so gain the rights to a damned impressive back catalogue. But if their demise causes Brett Ratner to be made director of the Hobbit, I will be seriously unhappy. As an aside, Quantum of Solace isn't a very good film. It's a passable action flick, but it's writing doesn't stack up very well at all. In my eyes the only two Bond films that are good films when you view them on their own merits are From Russia With Love (excellent, excellent film) and Casino Royale.

Wow, this is a little off-track. There should be a film chat thread where we could discuss these things.

i didnt, i guess mo did, i was only on until 11.30, he stays up until like 4 :s:

to be honest i really didnt like it, but he sorted me out with a different setup and i seem to be doing much betetrwith it. Also its really good when you play as a team, i love the pressure of knowing that mo and hios mates are awesome, and then when they play some team that are really mouthy the intensity of trying to not lett them down is really good!

i need to get outmore actually :sigh:
