    Basically i should be starting driving lessons soon, getting a car soon after to drive in with dad teaching me as well as driving instructor.

    What car should i get?
    Considering this is my first car, i don't want a good one and obviously i don't want the insurance to be something stupid.

    I was thinking;

    Ford Feista - Old Model
    Corsa - Old Model
    Saxo - Old Model
    Clio - Old Models

    All around 1.2 engines, if not just simply a 1l.
    What fuel also, Deisel or Petrol?

    Hmm how old are we talking? I would say diesel since you're not really going for anything crazy and since they get good gas mileage

    Wish I knew more about those models, I'll let someone else chime in with the reliability, but I would say the clio always thought it was a cool little car.

    I like the fiesta, it's reliable and runs well.

    Renaults break. Vauxhalls break too. Citroens break fastest. Fords rust.

    Take your pick. An old car for a grand will always have issues, personally I'd take the fiesta.

    My first car was (and is) a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 4 Door. My baby is the most reliable vehicle and she runs like a beauty. But I know a Ford Focas is also a solid car if you're looking for a car.

    i'd say fiesta, its inevitable your going have problems with all of them but i was once told that fords are cheaper to maintain and fix (however my brother is known to lie)

    Hi, I learned to drive in an 07 mini, and i much prefer the 05 corsa i'm driving now i've passed. It handles much better and just seems more reliable all round. Economic too, although i guess thats probs the same for all small cars
