I get decent times in the 800m but my 1500m times are terrible. I was wondering why this is, because I seem to do the training (not as much as I should be though). My 800m personal best is 1:59 while my 1500m time is 4:30. Should I do more long runs and less speed workouts? I assume I rely greatly on my speed rather than endurance.

"not as much as I should be though" - here's your problem. If you can do 800m fine , and not 1500m , then you obviously have some stamina issues. Just work on staminia / endurance , and you'll get better.

    Good luck
